ABOUT PLACEMENT
   
Training and Placement Cell (TPC), one of the important nodal centres of Mahendra Engineering College, provides the students with the best career opportunities by closely interacting with many of the corporates. As a result of the sincere efforts of TPC, more than 25 potential recruiters had visited our campus in the last two years for conducting placement drives and offering jobs. The TPC has been instrumental in facilitating these recruiters in conducting Pre-Placement Talks, Aptitude & Technical tests, Group Discussion and Interviews.

TPC maintains a close rapport with various industrial firms for organizing and co-ordinating industrial visits, in-plant training and projects for the students.

TPC also organizes training programmes for the development of each and every student of Mahendra Engineering College in areas beyond academics, with a view to equip them with the required skills that are indispensable in the coporate scenario. To achieve this end, students are trained in a state of the art English Lab in Communication skills from the first year onwards. TPC has developed in-house training programmes in the field of Aptitude training (which includes speed maths, logical reasoning, verbal & analytical skills) and Soft Skill development programmes by outside faculty to inculcate interpersonal skills, group discussion skills, corporate etiquette, communication skills and personal interview techniques. The entire training programme is being carried out during the academic session itself to make them "INDUSTRY READY".

Apart from the above TPC also organizes and coordinates training programmes to prepare the students to face competitive exams liks CAT, GRE, etc.

TPC is in constant touch with the corporate world to gather the latest requirements and suitably modify and fine tune the training programmes to match such requirements.

Infosys Campus Connect Programme

MEC has signed a MoU with Infosys for training the students in basic computer knowledge and also train them in soft skills through the Campus Connect Programme. Already one set of 50 students got trained in basic computer knwoeldge. They will be trained in soft skills from January 2007. Further batches will start from January 2007 onwards.

The college has signed MoUs, with the following Industrial forms for Industrial training, Industrial visits and also for consultancy from the college side.

Value Added Learning

The college has entered into MoU with leading institutions to impart value added learning to students to enable them to perform their best in the corporate.
